Kyla looks back to her old self.....her appetite is back! I’m sticking to vets strict instructions though for the time being regarding her food. It’s chicken and white rice (small portions three times a day! You should see the look she gives me once she has woofed it down icon_mad.gif
Kyla is a good girl.

Kyla and I had a lovely walk today at Nonsuch Park.
Luckily it was dry and not too muddy. One of Kylas attributes is her distaste of mud and puddles. She will skirt round them, as will I.She had a good run, a bit of ball chasing and some serious sniffing. Happy days! She seems to be over her sickness trouble and has her voracious appetite back. Hooray Kyla.

Haven't posted for a while so as it's quiet at the moment (Kyla asleep on sofa) here goes. Well......nothing new to report really. She's had a bit of tummy trouble but that's sorted now. We've been on a few nice walks recently. Not as far as I would have liked because I have a dodgy knee. More about that soon.Gave her a bath earlier, see pics .....she is so good about it and just waits to be lifted out. Kyla is a good girl.

Please make it quick

I had some fence repairs done yesterday. When the old fence was taken down there was nothing between my back garden and the field beyond. I made sure Kyla was inside of course. It was then that two beagles (off lead) got into garden. Kyla soon clocked them through the kitchen door and was definitely not happy. The beagles were in no hurry which wound her up even more. Ho Ho.

I had to take Kyla back to (Gatwick) kennels yesterday. I'm in hospital waiting for a knee replacement. Knee has been a problem for some time now and Kyla walkies have not been as long as I would have liked. It also meant I haven't been walking other RR dogs
I should be able to have her back in approximately 2/3weeks.A couple of recent pics.

Frankie, a good friend of mine, very kindly chose to walk Kyla yesterday at Gatwick. She had a good walk and a good old ball chase in the paddock. She even got the Poets Hut treatment.
I now have my new knee in and hope to pick her up as soon as I can. I miss her.

I have been following Kylas thread for what seems like forever now, so I was delighted to finally get to meet her today. Kyla is a lovely girl. She was somewhat stressed in the kennel as it was so noisy but she cheered up playing in the paddock. She ignored me for a bit then started to bring her ball and drop it for me to throw. We had a few cuddles and then back to the block where I had to persuade her to go back as she really wasn't keen. Once back in her bed, she settled down with some treats. Why Kyla hasn't been adopted is beyond me. I can safely say she will be looking forward to going back John!

Kyla is back! well Frankie very kindly picked her up and drove her back. It's great to have her back! Thanks to Lynne and her staff for looking after her although she doesn't cope well in kennels.
Big thanks to Frankie and' Elliesmum' Teresa for looking out for her.
Although I won't be able to properly walk her for a while she will have the run of the garden. Happy days! Just resting my knee at the moment with Kylas help!!!!

I have been doing all the exercises on my knee that the hospital recommended. I then have to elevate and rest it. This is the easy bit! I'm quite good at loafing about so it's not a problem (lots of back episodes of Frasier to catch up on). This is when Kyla joins me on the sofa.
I'm so glad to have her back with me. She sees me with my feet up and insists on joining me. I love having her snuggling up, she is so warm and comforting. She is my mate.

Kyla has been having great time running around the garden in the snow. Lot of ball chasing which suits us both as long as she brings it back!. She has been a great comfort to me. Good girl Kyla
