Heidi is a smart girl , so well behaved at home and a bit of a Diva on her walks. However, she now no longer launches herself from the back of the car like a rocket and this morning,we walked for ages over the fields of Farnborough with out her being rude to every dog she saw! So, I think she is listening to me a bit and I'm no dog trainer, but I'm being consistent with the long lead, recalls and reward but she will never be an off lead dog sadly, as she would love to run and run. Returning home, I gave her a bath as she had got rather smelly again. The bath she loves! Then she did her gazelle impression around the garden and now she's asleep. She's a funny little dog, she can be a bit distant and quiet, then when I try and get on with something, she comes and sticks her nose in and wants a cuddle. I think she is quite affectionate really and I hope she sees this as her home now. I think she looks much better now, and seems to have filled out a little, but when I weigh her, she hasn't put on any more yet. Hopefully the three meals a day will make a difference in the next few weeks. She seems healthy though so I'm not too worried.

Scanning the fields....oh look, horses!

On tonight's walk in the park, Hedi got excited a bit by a yappy small dog. The twat on the other end of said yappy small dogs lead said " if I had my other two, very large dogs with me, your dog would be very calm as she would be dominated by their size and wouldn't react" How me and Heidi laughed and laughed all the way home in the car :smiley-chores002.gif:

Poor Heidi went in for a dental clean today to remove tarter from her remaining teeth and have a good look around. She ended up having three teeth extracted and she is not happy smiley-sad010.gif
She is on pain relief and antibiotics for seven days and has cost a fortune. Hopefully though, we have prevented any further problems and on a good note, her blood tests were all ok. So now we have stumps, and gaps where she did at least have some teeth before. Poor love. The nurses all fell in love with her and she was very well behaved! Currently lying at home crying so I hope she settles down soon and gets over the effects of anaesthetic. Somebody is feeling very sorry for herself but I'm sure she will bounce back in Heidi style soon love4.gif

Oh I feel your pain, Tizer had five teeth out earlier in the year and he was in a terrible way afterwards. Kiss her head from me xx
