Re: Rupert Crossbreed DOB 2.4.14 Godstone Kenns
Beautiful pictures Anne and so lovely to seeing him enjoying a day out. He really is a wonderful chap and a home would be lucky to have him!
Would you like to walk our lovely dogs too?

Re: Rupert Crossbreed DOB 2.4.14 Godstone Kenns
This video was taken last Friday 29th May when my son Chris took Rupert for a walk for the first time. Poor Rupert knew that Chris had treats for him while I was waiting inpatiently for my camera app to load up on my phone to take a video. It was then that he gave his paw to Chris as if to say ok you win, here's my paw, do I get my treat now and to his delight the treat was forthcoming plus I got the act on video as you will see above. He was such a good boy for Chris on his walk. We understand that Rupert is now at Godstone Kennels and so hope that he can find a loving home to go to soon.

Rupert was my companion for the afternoon and we took ourselves off for a delightful walk along the river on Ashdown Forest. Rupert is so easy to be with. He is friendly, connected, responsive and fun. He loved exploring among the trees and along by the river on the extender lead, but will always stop and look and come back if called. Every time I sat down Rupert plonked himself down beside me or on my lap and wriggled about on his back enjoying belly rubs. He was interested in the cows and wanted a closer look but was easily distracted to continue on his walk. The sheep he took no notice of.
At the end of the walk we shared an ice cream. Rupert loves ice cream!

Rupert is still such a baby. He can get excited sometimes but is very responsive to commands and just wants to please and play. Lovely looking dog who would thrive with someone who would spend some time socialising him further and doing some training classes. Lovely boy.

Rupert is the most striking looking dog - none of my photos do him justice. Very easy to harness, easy to walk. For such a young dog stuck in kennels, his manners are brilliant. He loved his treats, and did try to stick his nose in my treat bag but responded to no immediately. Didn't want to walk too far, it was very hot today, so we had a little run around in the paddock followed by treats and cuddles in the shade. All in all, a dream dog with some very endearing puppy like qualities

Rupert was daft as a brush today in the paddock. Kicked the ball, he chased it, ran straight past it, came back every time expecting a treat!!! How could I refuse though?!? He sat his whole self on my lap - snuggling his head in to my neck, bless him. Took him over the large field afterwards, walked like a dream. Love this boy sooooo much.
Re: Rupert Crossbreed DOB 2.4.14 Godstone Kenns
I wanted to check out a new walking route today and chose Rupert as my adventuring buddy. He was perfectly behaved and loved the walk.
New things I learnt about Rupert today:
He loves raw carrot
He likes to chase butterflies
He does not react to gun shot noise
He is fascinated by cow pats!
He will travel happily anywhere you put him in the car but prefers the back seat as there is more room to lie down for a snooze when he is not looking out the window. He makes no attempt to try to get into the front.
Rupert is one chilled out guy. He sometimes barks with excitement when seeing other dogs, wanting to say hello but is easily distracted. Other than that he seems perfect.

Rupert seems like a really great dog. I've been watching him since his arrival and he as come on leaps and bounds. I like raw carrots too!

Rupert came for a walk to Ashdown Forest today, travelled very well in the car and settled down straight away. He really did look in his element (someone commented that he looks like a Dingo ) and thoroughly enjoyed exploring through the undergrowth and streams. Lots of play with Tia - I think Rupert may be slightly in love as he shadowed her everywhere
Caught the end part of their play, by now Tia was getting rather knackered
We came across a stream, half water half mud. Tia chose the water part, Rupert plonked himself down in the mud and just lay there happy as could be
We also came across this little (actually not so little) chap. Pleased to say that Rupert showed no interest, unlike a certain little madam who had to be dragged away from it after it had the cheek to rear up at her Rupert got a bit concerned when a very bouncy off lead dog came running over to us, 2 minutes later we met the same people this time with their dog on lead and Rupert walked alongside without any concerns. A few pics of Rupert's time out
