Poor Miko. I'm glad he's ok and seems to have moved on.

Mikos been great as usual, he has no signs of being ill, we were playing tug and fetch in the garden and he can take a running jump skipping the steps up onto the patio but we spotted blood in his wee yesterday. Was quite a challenge to get a urine sample as he stops marking if you stick a tub under him. so the first sample was enough to see he had an infection but not enough to look for crystals. So I've just submitted another sample and am waiting for the results to see if he needs further tests for bladder stones. In the meantime he's on his second lot of antibiotics and antiflamatories for the second time in a few months. Just thought id let you know as i know he had lots of fans. We've just had him 2 years and he's coming up to 7. First time claiming on insurance, he's not a young dog anymore.

Urine sample showed infection but no crystals from stones. However, this doesn't rule it out but the vets decided to see how the antibiotics work and if his urine is not normal towards the end of the treatment do further testing as its then likely to be a secondary urinary infection. He takes his meds well, pushed into wet food, which he's having with extra water to help.

Hi Deborah

We had Miko for a while before you (about three and a half years ago) and we are really pleased to see him doing good.
We would love to see him again.

We live in Chingford and our email is [REDACTED] if you want to contact us.
He's a fantastic boy.

Regards

David and Pauline
