I received the following text last night from Lucy's adopted family
"Hello. Jen here that adopted Lucy (remember?). You may be pleased to know that we entered her in our local dog show today & she won 1st prize in best rescue dog & then the big cup for best in show! Plus rosettes, vouchers & a big bag of food. We are so proud of her & love her to bits. Lynne may like to know if she can still remember Lucy"
Unfortunately they cant make this years funday.

We adopted Lucy 3 years ago but have only just learnt how to post on the web! Lucy has brought us so much pleasure and we love her to bits. Sadly over the last 12 months she has become rather reactive/aggressive to some other dogs. Most of the time she's fine but it's as though occasionally a switch goes in her brain! To hopefully help her socialise I am starting Rally classes with her next month. This is a new discipline involving obedience, agility and mental challenge. She should love this as she is very bright and loves playing and hopefully it will help her mix with other dogs - if not then I guess we get chucked off!

Well if you are High Wycombe, sometimes the locale descriptions are off, always happy to meet up with Bella our staffyX who is pretty unreactive to every dog if that would help.

Thank you so much. That would be lovely. We actually live in Holmer Green. Going on holiday to Norfolk tomorrow (with Lucy) for 2 weeks but if it's ok will be in touch when we return.

Lucy's 3rd gotcha day today so she has celebrated with a long walk, lots of chasing her quoit and an ice cream. Now tucking into her dinner and will hopefully settle to watch the rugby!

Great celebrations

Message for Marknsal. It would be really helpful to try a walk with you & Bella as you kindly suggested. I have tried so hard to pm you but without success. However I have been able to reply to a pm sent. If you are still happy to try a joint walk could you please pm me & we'll take it from that here. If you have had second thoughts, no problem. Thanks

A lovely first for us today meeting up with another set of RR 'parents' that live local. A nice, if slightly muddy in places, ramble through Penn Woods with Lucy, Bella and their 'owners' and it was good to meet up with one of the thread denizens in the flesh. Lucy is a lovely healthy happy little thing who is doted on and in return dotes upon her team. A real sweety and you would never know what a tough start she had, does a lovely high five and takes treats nicely. Bella and Lucy ambled along albeit it Bella was doing her usual wood walking trick of moving to the very end of the extender in the hope of surprising a squirrel whereas Lucy was more interested in the people.Hopefully we will endeavour to meet up again before Xmas and next time may even do a pub visit.
