Yogi is an amazing dog. Most mornings I'm woken with a loud puppy like play bark from him when my oldest who's the first to go downstairs to get ready for school. Then I hear the scrabbling of feet as he bounces around him. My son plays for a few minutes with him- yogis favourite game is tug o war. (Surprisingly yogi wins🤣). He is a very soft gentle giant and those eyes!!! He is a very very loving dog that we've seen bloom. His relationship with my boys is just too cute and he loves the attention they give him.

He will tolerate the cat in the same room as him if the cat does not move. So if the cat is sitting still on a high up piece of furniture yogi almost ignores him but as soon as the cat goes to move he’s a bit too attentive. It’s fair to say he is not cat friendly. 😔we tried many different types of introductions We have had Akita’s and cats before and tried all the tricks we knew and then some more but it wasn’t to be...But he is huggable, unbelievably playful and a big lovable fur baby and when he pushes his head through your arm to rest his head on your lap for a tickle or to see what you are doing he makes your heart melt ❤️❤️ He’s also comfortable and considerate around my children( ages 8 and 12).

Here's Yogi filmed earlier today! He's one of those dogs that I didn't want to have to say goodbye to. It was the first time I'd walked him though I'd met him before. He is quite easy to walk, but he can be strong at very rare times if he wants to be. He is a gentle giant though and he really does have a very loving, soft personality. Do consider Yogi bear.

Here's cuddley Yogi the gentle (bear) Akita today :D He's waiting for a home, and waiting for a future owner to shower with love and companionship.

I had a great first time walking Yogi last weekend. He is a wonderful dog, who loves affection and cuddles (and he has that scrumptious kind of coat you can bury your hands and face into for therapy for yourself too!). He was good meeting people and walking on the lead, only being a bit strong when, being an inquisitive lad, he wanted to get closer to see something that fascinated him (like the sheep!). However, he was responsive when I asked something of him. For example, walking down some muddy steps could have easily ended up with me slipping over if he pulled, especially as we both could barely fit on one step at the same time, but he waited on each step when I asked and there were no muddy accidents. Yogi's a lovely dog and I'd recommend him to anyone with room in their heart and home for a big'un like him.

Here he is licking his lips after having a drink, and yes he's looking at geese at the time, but I'm sure that's not why he was licking his lips!!
