After recently starting to volunteer for RR, we took Codi for a day out today - we saw him on our induction day and haven't stopped thinking about him since. He was an absolute dream and we didn't want to bring him back!

Codi travelled well in the car, we first took him to an enclosed dog field and let him run round for a couple hours. He seems very focused on you, which was sweet. He even had a little go at some agility obstacles I have set up there. Codi played with toys and came whenever called, he took treats gently. He really is everything that I love about the Staffy breed: just an amazing attitude to life!

He came back to ours and snoozed, played with toys (from our late Staffy) - was good at giving toys back and exhibited no bad behaviour. He was respectful around human food when we sat down for lunch and just went and curled up on a dog bed.

We look forward to taking Codi out again soon and hopefully he will find his forever home and a sofa to snooze on very soon! :newhere.gif:

OMG have never walked dinky little Codi before and what a treat it was. He's so well behaved on the lead, with other dogs and passing people, bikes and horses. His little face says it all, he loves chasing his ball nd having human cuddles. Seriously couldn't get a nicer dog xxx

Lovely walk this morning with Codi in the warm sunshine. Little Codi spent a lot of time rolling on his back in the grass, a look of pure glee on his little face. What a wonderful, charismatic fun boy he is.

I don't know why Codi is still waiting! He is a sweet little dog. He isn't a fan of kennels, his emotions are high when you go in, he gets so excited to be going out. He got hold of my lead briefly today but soon let go when I asked him. Out walking, he is a very easy dog and is very well behaved around other dogs, even close up. codi is so tiny, he is easy to manage and anyway, he just trots easily along with you, not a puller. Codi enjoys a cuddle and gave my face a good wash! Codi would love his own home where he knows his family will love and support him.

It was very cold this morning but lovely in the sunshine. I enjoyed a walk with Codi who is always a delight to spend time with.
This is what Codi enjoyed doing most on our walk. Such a funny little pickle!

Codi is so full of love and desperate to share his huge heart with someone who can give him a home. He just wants to shower his future owner with affection and companionship and all the volunteers know what a big heart he is. He does need an adult only experienced home. Thanks to volunteer anne for this great photo of Codi.

I do love little Codi. He really is a dinky, fun little character. He is so excited to go out for his walk and he is so easy to walk, being very connected and looking up at me every now and then to check all is OK. We shared a lovely walk in the snow this morning. Codi makes me smile and brightens up my day. x

I walked Codi for the first time today. Codi is not too happy in kennel care because being around and snuggling up to people is all he really wants to do - a need which, as hard as the kennels try, is difficult to meet in a kennel environment. He had been crying a lot in his pen and so at the end of my long day walking, I managed to harness him (he was very excited) with the help of a brilliant walker. Codi loved being outside in the sunshine and was an easy dog to walk - he kept looking at me for reassurance and didn't really want to go back to his pen. He is an absolute sweetheart and would make some lucky person a very lovely companion. Let's hope that home comes soon. [cry.gif]
