What can I say about Trixie Lix that hasn't been said over and over? Our lovely brindle beauty who is so much fun and so sweet.

Here she is being super happy to see visiting volunteer SarahK!

And if I've said it once I've said it a thousand times: best sit you'll ever see. She is magnificent.

Please don't let her stay in kennels for another winter.

My first time meeting and walking Trixie - she's a heart stealer. I'm a sucker for a greying muzzle and nice eyes so she had me before we'd even left the kennel. Trixie shares her kennel with her good friend Graham - both dogs very patient while Keith and I faffed about getting them harnessed. Trixie was an easy girl to walk - some pulling but settled after 5 minutes. She loved the open fields - she rolled and rolled, shuffled her back along the grass - four paws in the air, tail wagging.xx.

I am so sad to think that I first walked Trixie in 2014 and she is still waiting for her home. She is a super girl, less bouncy than she was but such a darling. I am pleased she now has a handsome friend in the shape of Graham to keep her company, but really folks, she needs a home! Trixie and Graham are a joy to walk with and we had a lovely stroll through the woods this morning.

Ready for the off!
Well what a little sweetheart Trixie is. She currently shares a kennel with gentleman Graham, a large softy. Geoff and I took them for a walk together yesterday. Trixie started off with typical staffie enthusiasm, but when asked to slow down she happily complied. Any patch of grass in the sunshine elicited a happy back roll, and she sat beautifully for her treat and took it very gently. In the paddock for a play afterwards and Trixie loves, and I mean loves, to chase a ball. She brings it back so happily to drop at your feet and is happy to keep going as long as you are.

I love this little girl. Geoff and I had the pleasure of walking Trixie and her kennel mate Graham today. She’s so happy and enthusiastic, you can’t help but love her. I do so hope Trixie finds her very own family soon, she has been in rescue far too long.

Trixie stole the show today......Kate moss eat your heart out!!! Some lovely volunteers were making an xmas video of some our lovely dogs - Trixie pouted and posed and was a natural. She done everything she was supposed to do - popping her head up on cue, sitting on cue......even though her good friend and kennel mate Graham was doing his best to steal her limelight! After her 30 seconds of fame, Kim and myself took her and graham for a walk then a run around in the paddock. Trixie loved chasing a tennis ball - retrieved it every time. She didn't drop it - instead had a little chew on it then wanted me to throw another one. She is a lovely girl, easy to walk, a pleasure to spend time with. Xx

Trixie is adorable. Easy to walk, bustling to keep up with her kennel mate Graham and walk alongside him. She adores him and he her. In the paddock, Trixie loves to chase a ball....with Graham in hot pursuit. She loves a fuss, very affectionate, accepts my hugs and kisses with a waggy tail. Her bottom hits the floor as soon as I reach in to my pocket for a sausage - such a good girl. Pictures do not do this beautiful girl justice - she has the most gorgeous face. Xx

Such a favourite little girl of mine. We had a lovely walk in the Boxing Day sunshine with her bestie Graham. No pulling from Trixie today, looking back at me for some reassurance, she so loves the grass, and always looks for a patch for a nice back roll or belly squirm. She did enjoy her treats today, sits beautifully and takes so gently. I learned a little more of her history today. This little girl has come such a long way with trusting hoomans and is definitely happier with a doggy friend to give her confidence and build her trust. It would be magic if she could be rehomed with Graham.

This little girl has stolen my heart. Walked her yesterday with her bestie Graham. She’s a poppet. Very interested in the squirrel we saw, loves rolling in the grass, looks upmat you for confidence and reassurance. She has been in rescue for so long, Oh it would be a dream come true for her very own family to find her this year. And when you do, you will be so grateful, because she is just lovely.

Jim and I walked Trixie and her kennel mate Graham today. They are a delight to take out. So well behaved. First stop was the paddock as it was free. Trixie loves the paddock and in double quick time had found a tennis ball. She loves running up and down the paddock with a ball in her mouth, having a roll for good measure, and then deciding that you are allowed to throw the ball for her after all! We took them on the woodland walk after before setting off down the driveway. Trixie loves all the smells that the woods have to offer. She walks nicely on the lead. It is a real mystery to me why Trixie has been overlooked for so long. She really is a super girl and so deserves a home of her own. If Graham was able to be homed with her too I think that she would really be happy. They really are well behaved dogs and a pleasure to spend time with. xx

I love this little girl and it would be a dream come true for her to find her forever home. Walked her yesterday with her bestie Graham and just had to smile at her sheer joy of being able to roll in the grass with the sunshine on her belly, and then squirm in the grass on her belly in typical Staffy pose with the sun in her back! This girl loves grass!! In between we did some walking. She’s interested in other dogs we pass but doesn’t bark at them. Ignores cyclists and horses. Loves, and I mean LOVES, to chase a ball and brings it back to you every time to throw again. This little girl has been in rescue for over 3 years, and whilst I know it’s the best home she’s ever had, it would be a dream come true, really, for all who know her, for her very own family to find her at last and give her the home she so deserves.
