Bonnie's Story : Found tied up with a note & unclaimed within a council pound: Rescue Remedies offered a Rescue place saving her life. Bonnie is now neutered; chipped and vaccinations in progress. Bonnie came in on the 16th June 17 into Gatwick Kenns

PLEASE NOTE: Dog laws have changed with zero public tolerance and prejudice against bull breeds and terriers. Our Rescue asks new owners to maintain dogs on lead in public spaces and manage encounters for at least 4 months until sure of their dogs instincts & skills, most of our dogs will need to be retained always on a lead, so as not to place dog's lives at risk, (Destruction or Control Orders are common place nowadays).

***PLEASE HELP OUR LONG STAY DOGS: Our min. adoption donation £175, which supports our work and Is non returnable. We will offer an alternative dog should our dog not settle given adequate time and reassurance. Rescue Remedies offers their dogs back up for life and exist on the goodwill of our supporters and volunteers.

Please click for Bonnie's thread for regular updates, new pictures and videos. To apply to home a dog, you must be ready within 7 days and complete a homing questionnaire submitted Online We work fast to secure our dogs their loving homes and can be talking to up to 10 families at any one time. Please remain open: We have the dogs we have. Our dogs need a supportive family to offer patience, time & tolerance to allow them to settle.

Original Referral information : We work with our dogs & often reveal a different picture & positive skills as they build trust. 11.06.17: Hi Lynne,

Would you be in a position to help us out with Bonnie (SBT)?

Bonnie came to us after being left tied up in Portsmouth with a note.
BonnieBubbles5.jpg

We have established her original owner passed away and her next owner found themselves homeless with no means to care for her. Bonnie is a sweet natured dog with adults but was teased by children when she was younger so displays concern around them. She does has issues with dogs of a similar size but is reported to be okay with smaller dogs. She is an old girl (12 years old) but has a lot of love to give someone. She enjoys company but is not demanding, she will either amuse herself or settle down quietly for a snooze. She has a lot of lumps over her body but we are assured these are fatty lumps and not a concern. She also looks to suffer with long term ear issues which will require close attention.

Bonnie is absolutely adorable. She is calm and sweet and friendly. How dreadful that she finds herself in rescue but never mind because rescue remedies is her family now and we will find her a special home. She is beautiful inside and out and I just loved spending some time with her this morning. It was too hot to do anything much other than have a potter in the woods and then in the shade in the paddock. Walkers- please form an orderly queue because this girl is GORGEOUS!

Ooh Bonnie, what a sweetie. From one side she looks a bit like our Albert, she even has the same cauliflower ear! Hoping she gets a home soon. love4.gif

Dennis saw Bonnie's picture and it had to be her!

Bonnie08.jpg

Bonnie was spayed today; her right side of her chest was striped of mammary tumours (early stage), she was 1st vaccinated and chipped. Her ear turned out to be clean and of no concern to our vet or Bonnie just a cauliflower ear. Hence she has her suitical on and looks a little down crested despite the occasion.

Brilliant! Bonnie is a heart-stealer for sure. I met her briefly last week and she was so sweet. Thank you so much Dennis for giving Bonnie a forever home. 0093.gif :havefun.gif:

Wonderful news. I met Bonnie briefly on Sunday and she was looking so lost in the kennels. Great to know that she has been snapped up so soon. :thanks.gif: to quick work by Dennis who instantly knew that Bonnie was his girl. Be happy Bonnie love4.gif xx
