Fifi's Story: Fifi was living with her litter sister in Spain due to her owner's loss of a partner, and the resulting change in accommodation. The two litter sisters found it hard to adjust to living in a flat in an urban setting, and began to fight. They both need their own homes and gardens again in a low dog density setting. Rescue Remedies offered them Rescue places. Fifi is neutered, chipped, and fully vaccinated. Fifi is coming to boarding kennels near Guildford whilst she awaits her new family.

If you are interested in rehoming one of our dogs, please complete our ONLINE HOMING QUESTIONNAIRE. It is always the first step in our rehoming process. Upon application, you must be ready to take in your new dog within seven days. For more detailed information, please see our Homing Process.

Please support our work and help our long stay dogs: Our minimum adoption donation is £175. This supports our continuing rescue work and is non-refundable. We exist solely due to the goodwill and donations of our supporters and volunteers. Our dogs need supportive families who will offer them patience, time and tolerance whilst they settle in their new homes. Our Rescue offers all our dogs back-up for life.

Please note: Dog laws have changed, with zero public tolerance and prejudice against bull breeds and terriers. Our Rescue asks new owners to keep their dog on a lead in public spaces and manage and support its encounters with new dogs and people, so as not to place the dog's life at risk. Destruction and Control Orders are commonplace nowadays.

Fifi's progress through our Rescue is below.
We work with our dogs, who often reveal a different picture and positive skills as they build trust.
Original Referral information:
Terrier Rescue was asked to help Fifi (and also her litter sister) to find a Patterdale home who can offer her a safe, supported and secure home.
Fifi comes into our care into kennels on the 5th January 2019.

It was a pleasure to meet and walk Fifi yesterday. Frankie walked her sister Rita and we all shared a walk. Although Fifi was a little nervous I gained her trust very quickly, got her harnessed and we were off. There was no reaction to the dogs in the kennel block as we passed by. Fifi is a dream to walk. We passed several dogs when we were out but there was no reaction from her at all. angel13.gif] Fifi seemed to enjoy her walk, having a good sniff and watching the squirrels in the woods but not attempting to chase them. Super little girl this. Somebody is going to be so lucky to have her love4.gif xx

I walked Fifi today - a dear little girl who did seem a bit confused to me at finding herself in kennel care. She is a sweet little thing and could only ever enhance someone's life without being any bother at all. We went for a short walk but Fifi just wanted to eat grass so we did not go far. I so hope she gets homed soon. :crossfingers.gif: :crossfingers.gif: :crossfingers.gif:

we walked the fabulous fifi with her sister rita yesterday - two easier to walk and sweeter dogs would be hard to find - fifi walks nicely on a loose lead meets other dogs nicely (have yet to hear her bark) she loves her treats/sausages but never pesters for them and you only have to say sit and shes immediately sitting and waiting patiently and when approaching roads she is v calm and placid - she has obviously been well trained and she and her sister are a credit to the pattie breed

Fifi is such a sweet little dog. She was really up for a brisk walk through the cold this afternoon and dashed out of her pen to enjoy all the sniffs and interesting things in the woods. Lovely little girl. I hope she finds her home very soon. angel13.gif] :smiley-bounce016.gi:

Such a sweet girl, Fifi is always happy to see you , Her ears flop back and she smiles at you when it's time for a cuddle or walk .Today Fifi helped me on a homing walk for Poppy, Both girls very excited to see the other and boy did they tell the other !!
They both excitedly jumped around as it was the first time They'd met did the usual patterdale bark and then we were on our way.
They settled into a comfortable pace and both girls walking parallel to each other only a foot away .
I was very impressed as both girls stood off the path as 12 cyclists closely whizzed past and neither made a sound or movement demonstrating their exceptional manners towards these strangers and bikes as though it was all part of their planned walk.
They stayed close together for a lovely long walk and Fifi cried when her new friend was being taken away. So a cuddle and a carry later and Fifi was settled in her room, she's such a sweetheart who is looking for a new home .
