Charlie really responded to the spring sunshine and wanted to go for a long walk yesterday and so we did. He loved being in the woods with all the joys that brings - squirrels, lots of sniffs etc. He is a very easy dog to walk and is excellent company. He is one of many lovely male, black Patterdales in kennel care but so deserves to have his own home. Lovely little dog! :crossfingers.gif: :crossfingers.gif: :crossfingers.gif:

Charlie really enjoyed his walk yesterday and so did I. Charlie is such a happy upbeat patterdale. He really would be a ray of sunshine in a forever home, he just makes you happy to spend time with, love him!

It really is a shame that Charlie is still in kennel care - he is such a great little dog. He so enjoys his walks and we went for a long one this morning, dodging showers but not the mud. He shows a great interest in squirrels and pigeons and loves to sniff and snuffle amongst the undergrowth.
He would make an excellent little companion. :crossfingers.gif: :crossfingers.gif: :crossfingers.gif:

Charlie has gone to spend a week with a lovely family Sarah & Peter and their children Will & Charlotte. I will post pictures of the family playing with Charlie. he was on edge a little on occasions so we just want to make sure he is comfortable living with children. They are a very experienced family having owned a Rescue Pattie for 16 and a half years

Here's a few photos of Charlie's Easter break in Wales.
He settled down for the long journey and found a nice pillow...

After a few village walks a comfy sofa was the order of the day...

Time for a long walk on the beach...

Charlie was keen to get to the sea...

But either the water was a bit cold or it was the first time he'd seen waves...he was a little unsure...

An interesting ditch!
Charlie really enjoyed his walks and was keen to get out and about seeing the sights. He liked playing ball with the children in the garden and found the chickens especially entertaining - through the window I hasten to add!!
He's an affectionate little chap and liked to join me for a cwtch before breakfast...we really hope he finds the right home soon as he's got so much to give!! Good luck Charlie - we'll be watching your updates...

Thank you Peter and family for giving Charlie some time out for rest and assessment; it will really help his future placement. In the meantime, the volunteers will give him plenty of cwtches. :thanks.gif:
