Charlie is Pattie of the month for May 18
Charlie needs a terrier aware, supportive family to offer time and tolerance to allow their new dog to settle. NB Our Rescue asks owners to maintain dogs on lead in public spaces and manage encounters, as dog law changes place dog's lives at greater risk.

Known background: Charlie was taken in from an advert online when he was 9 months old to live a family in April 16 with their 14 year old son & Weimaraner. Charlie being a young Patterdale terrier has 'tested' the family, whose instincts are to "train him to calm him". Charlie came to us 2017, neutered, chipped, and fully vaccinated. Charlie is worm & flea treated. We stepped forwards to offer a Rescue place. Charlie was homed for 8 months but has returned due to his owner's ill health. Charlie was in boarding kennels nr Guildford

Charlie is now 3 years old. "Charlie is a funny, eager, full of energy pup deserves a stable and loving home who will invest time with him to continue his development."Charlie is a jumper but this is enthusiasm and we are trying to stop this. He tends to react to larger dogs on walks and to horses. We are toilet training Charlie. Unless walking or outside with us he is being kept in a crate. He is very loving and fun and will absolutely benefit from training. Not allowed on furniture sleeps in crate in living room."

Visit Charlie's thread for daily updates, lots of pictures and videos. Please click to submit Online Application We will match you with a dog that suits your lifestyle, please remain open we successfully home 350 dogs per annum. We work fast to secure our dogs their loving homes.

***PLEASE HELP: We have to ask for suggested min. donation £175 at the time of adoption, to support so many dogs in kennels. We have no state sponsorship and exist on the goodwill of the public and our supporters. Rescue Remedies offers their dogs back up for life.

Original Referral: Please remember this is the information we received from the referrer. Once a dog is with us and we begin to work with them and unpack them they can and often do reveal positive skills trust and transform behaviours June 2016: Charlie came to live with his current family in April 16 He is a typical Patterdale and his family's instincts are to contain and control. They appreciate they aren't naturally accepting of Patterdale antics, but they have bought him into safety and he is now ready for his terrier home

Took Charlie for nice long walk today,he greeted me nicely in his kennel. On our walk we met Codi who laid down when he saw Charlie. Charlie is very typical of the patterdale breed and possible Bentley's brother from another mother :D We had a nice walk ,he is certainly a go getter. Everyone is going to love him love4.gif and he is super cute.

Had a lovely walk with Charlie the other day. Very determined and positively pulled me up the steps on bridge over railway line, so I had to point out to him that not only had he 4 legs to my 2, but he was an awful lot younger! He also enjoyed the fallen leaves that I kicked up as we walked along. A great personality and deserves a loving home ASAP.

Charlie jumped in the front of the dog mobile today completely unperturbed that Troy was the other side of the grid and signalled he was ready for the off. We parked up and Charlie waited patiently whilst I walked Troy then Rafferty and delighted jumping down into the wet puddles and we had a wonderful walk down by the river.

Walking out on the main road Charlie was a little on edge around the traffic zooming by. He also aware off passerby with a touch of tension but soon passed. Happy to jump back in the car having greeted Rafferty through his travel crate.

Lovely young boy, busy with his very important patt business. Doesn't take any notice of weather, even flowing pathways. Great video shows him at his best. thumbs.gif
