Rex needs a supportive family to offer time and tolerance to allow their new dog to settle. NB Our Rescue asks owners to maintain dogs on lead in public spaces and manage encounters, as dog law changes place dog's lives at greater risk.

Known background: Rex's owner died and the daughter doesn't have the lifestyle to suit a dog so a friend has been looking after him who hasn't owned a dog before. This is a short term arrangement and terrierrescue are looking for a stable home for Rex. Rex is neutered, and we believe chipped and vaccinated. He is well, can be left, has terrier traits which initially were misread...but he is settling well but needs his home. Rex has had dogs visit, young children and enjoys his walks, knows commands. Best not to live with children as a little precious about his food and is used to a quieter household. Rex was fosterer with a family friend in South London

Visit Rex's thread for daily updates, lots of pictures and videos. Please click to submit Online Application We will match you with a dog that suits your lifestyle, please remain open we successfully home 350 dogs per annum. We work fast to secure our dogs their loving homes.

***PLEASE HELP: We have to ask for suggested min. donation £175 at the time of adoption, to support so many dogs in kennels. We have no state sponsorship and exist on the goodwill of the public and our supporters. Rescue Remedies offers their dogs back up for life.

Original Referral: I am unable to home or care for my late mother's dog and my friend is no longer able to keep him. Other rescue services are unwilling to take him as he nipped initially but since his carer has understood his terrier ways. S x

Sad story but hope a new life is ahead for this lovely dog. He has known a loving home, fingers crossed he won't wait long for someone to fall in love with him. Bless him xx

Any more info on Rex. I'd love to tweet a few pictures of postgroom photos if he has allowed anyone to get that close. :D

Bill & Jan came with their little lady to meet Rex today. As Jan says he came along way in 30 mins and started his journey 2 hours after meeting for lovely daily walks in the countryside and lots of doggie company
