Just spending my usual evening in the kennels preparing the next day and letting dogs out in the 3 paddocks to chill. Its a time to reflect and appreciate especially on a summers evening when all is well with the world.

It a pleasure to spend all day with so many people who love animals and really have that affinity. The cars drive up and soon there is laughter and friends united as walkers harness up their favourites and the new, and chat to one another during the walk or have a drink on the picnic tables. Tonight is Missies night she is spending probably a couple of hours wandering around and meeting other dogs who come into the adjoining paddock She has had a smooch with Hooch; a pleasant exchange with Bentley Patterdale and is now chatting away to Dylan. Tonight is h er last night in Gatwick as she is going to Adams in Broxbourne to be socialised as she is gagging to mix . Sandy is also going over to Brox for a while and I will be bring ?3 back with me tomorrow. We are also excited to welcome Jethro over here on Friday.

Today I have been organising paperwork as it got in a jumble. I hate being in a mix and so lots of things have been binned; filed; actioned or put ready for attention (too many have been put ready for attention). We had a large food order appear out of sky today then we found a little note from Barni (and Janet) we were all so happy for him. Helen travelled to Worcester Park for me to bring some files which was lovely. Liz (Springer spaniel Liz) arrived with lots of donated food and more bedding bags appeared this morning, Beth bought lots yesterday. It was so lovely as the walkers really notice things and thought we were so low on bedding we needed some especially for Kevin...truth is Kevin loves to tear his bedding into little squares so he gets the end of line bedding at the moment. His stress levels have come right down and it was lovely to hear Nicki (Pinkie) described him to a 'T' today in such adoring way. Offers of days out came in today, a cheque arrived for the Staffies by a wellwisher. News of Biscuits Border Terrier homing. A solicitor wrote about a client donating to our American Bulldogs yesterday. Claire mowed the paddocks today then went down on the river bank to clear nettle roots she said as she left at 12 you wont see much difference because I've been tackling the roots. I did see much difference. Stuart is prepping a job for tomorrow and will appear on site with the necessary tools. Chris; Steve; Val; Chrissy Heleny Beth were some of the many walkers into today.

My 86 year old mother who was blind in one eye from birth had her cataract op today. She was so nervous incase she lost her vision totally. The op took 30 mins and the consultant announced Im not just removing the cataract but I am putting a new lens in your eye so you will no longer need to wear glasses. A great outcome and yes that has got my heart singing as I was keen to know news today and it came as great news.

Just feeling elation. Must get back to the dogs and sorting!
