Thank you everyone for your support though this, after recently losing my horse who had been with me for 20 years through cancer, I was dreading facing another fight.

Re: Mitzy Bull lurcher DOB 12.09 Waterlooville

Rummibailey » Fri Apr 01, 2016 3:41 pm Yay!!!!! Vet just rung! Tests show it was a completely benign tumour that was 100% removed and no chance of reoccuring or spreading. Not any form of cancer or anything sinister. She gave me a long name but I didn't recognise it or frankly care! Main thing is sh...

Re: Mitzy Bull lurcher DOB 12.09 Waterlooville

Rummibailey » Wed Mar 30, 2016 4:12 pm Just to say no results yet! When we picked her up from vets, the nurse thought we would get results on Wed, but no call today. I rang them a short time ago and no results in yet, hopefully tomorrow but could be not until Monday! Will just have to keep the phone...

Mitzy has been fine, doesn't seem too sore and happily ate her breakfast. Just a case of gentle short lead walks when she feels up to it and waiting for the phone call next week.

She's back home and sleeping it off. She was rather sleepy and sore but wouldn't settle until she had some food!! They've done internal stiches only - very cleverly done with no external stitches or glue! Snuggled up by the fire now.

Re: Mitzy Bull lurcher DOB 12.09 Waterlooville

Rummibailey » Thu Mar 24, 2016 10:15 am Thanks, just dropped her off, she wasn't keen! Thankfully, we have a lovely vets who myself and my family have been using for 35 years so I have full trust in them and they are always so lovely with our dogs. I will get a call around 1-2 to let me know that it...

Dreading taking Mitzy to the vets tomorrow. Sam always loves the vets as he gets extra attention, but Mitzy doesn't, her tail and head drop and she'd rather get out of there asap. She won't like being left there. She does her 'serious sad' face so well.....

Thanks everyone, I'm sure she'll recover well as she is quite good at lazing around if needed! Issue will be getting Rosie to leave her alone and not grabbing her legs all the time - but I'm sure Mitzy will let her know she wants to be left alone!
